Outstanding faculty are an essential component of a quality educational experience. The College of Science is fortunate to have many exceptional faculty, but low salaries relative to those offered by peer institutions are a challenge to our efforts to recruit and retain the best faculty. 教师 endowments such as the Malcolm and Carol Renfrew 教师 Fellowship Endowment are used to reward faculty members who, like Malcolm Renfrew, excel at teaching and research and also serve as mentors for students.
